Tomorrow showery spells of rain affect Scotland and possibly Northern Ireland. England and Wales will be dry for most of the time but during the afternoon rain reaches the south west. Temperatures will be similar to today's.

Change next week

During Tuesday showery spells of rain feed across southern counties. The rest of the UK has a colder day with a good deal of dry weather, although showers are likely in the north west.

Christmas Day is looking dry and cool. Isolated showers are possible in the north and over high ground they could be wintry. Later on cloud builds from the west and outbreaks of rain may reach Northern Ireland.

The rest of the week is looking mixed but high pressure building from the south is expected to begin influencing things. After a chilly start it probably turns a lot milder by the weekend. The unsettled conditions become increasingly restricted to the north west.
