In the south it remains overcast and more persistent outbreaks of rain return this afternoon. The wettest conditions are expected to remain to the south of London.
Temperatures range from 6C (42F) in the north to 12C (54F) in the south. See the rain radar for the latest view.

Winter 2019/20 forecast
Tomorrow the north and east should be mainly dry and bright. In Wales and the south west heavy showers return and some of them push eastwards across southern counties. Temperatures will be down a little on today's values.
Meteo France Arpege, rain, 15:00 GMT Sun 22nd December
Monday should be dry in much of the UK. The exceptions are the north west where showers continue and the south west where outbreaks of rain develop.
During Tuesday showery spells of rain could feed across southern counties. The rest of the UK has a colder day with a good deal of dry weather, although showers are likely in the north west.
The rest of the week is looking mixed but high pressure building from the south is expected to begin influencing things. After a chilly start it probably turns a lot milder by the weekend. The unsettled conditions become increasingly restricted to the north west.
