Increasingly unsettled

The weekend looks mixed. Saturday starts dry but through the afternoon outbreaks of rain spread across northern and western areas. Overnight the wet conditions move southeastwards. Further shower or longer spells of rain are likely on Sunday, especially in the north and west. In the north it turns colder and over the Scottish hills sleet or snow is possible.

Next week is expected to be unsettled and quite chilly at times. All regions have wet and windy spells and in the north it could be cold enough for snow on some days.
