Unsettled outlook

During Saturday heavy rain pushes northwards with drier conditions following into southern and central counties. Much of Scotland and Northern Ireland could stay dry until the evening. Temperatures should be close to the seasonal average.

Brighter conditions are likely on Sunday in the southern half of the country. In the north there could be some rain early on and  later in the day a band of rain probably pushes into Northern Ireland.

Unsettled weather continues through the first half of next week, so all areas can expect wet and windy periods. Temperatures will be close to the average in the north and slightly above in the south.
