Today will showery but tomorrow should be mainly dry. The outlook for next week is uncertain. Low pressure may bring further showers to the south east early on but then high pressure takes over for a while. It may not last though and by mid-week the trend could be towards more unsettled conditions again....READ IN FULL
Saturday starts with showers in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. In southern Scotland there are persistent outbreaks of rain but to the north it is mainly dry. Through the day wet weather edges southwards into northern England. Elsewhere there will be a mix of sunny spells and showers with the heaviest ones in the west. The south east and East Anglia could remain dry and bright. It will be windy in the north.
Temperatures range from 8C (46F) in the north to 14C (57F) in the south. See the rain radar for the latest view.

Tonight patchy outbreaks of rain in the north steadily fade away. Later on there could be some heavy showers in north eastern Britain. It will be cool with a ground frost in places.

UK winter 2019/20 Update 2 [NEW]
Tomorrow should be dry and bright in much of the country. A few showers bubble up, particularly in eastern and north eastern Britain. After a cold start temperatures remain on the low side.

Monday is expected to be mainly dry and chilly in most areas. However, in the south east there is a risk of showery outbreaks of rain and locally they could be heavy. After an early frost it will be quite chilly.
During Tuesday patchy outbreaks of rain push into northern Scotland. The rest of the country has a dry day with sunny spells. It remains quite chilly.
The middle part of the week is looking more unsettled again in the north and west. Southern and eastern areas should be mainly dry and temperatures are likely to pick up.
Things then become very uncertain. More unsettled weather could spread southeastwards and there is a possibility of it turning colder from the north.
