Showery for the rest of the week

The changeable theme continues this weekend. Saturday brings showers to much of the UK, although they should be more scattered than in recent days. On Sunday outbreaks of more persistent rain are possible in Scotland. Southern and central Britain have sunny spells and showers.

Next week high pressure starts to exert more influence so it is likely become drier, especially in southern and central regions. Milder air could be pumped up from the south for a time but later on rain bearing weather fronts may begin to return from the west.
