The unsettled period continues! The worst weather this weekend will be in the south with rain today and tomorrow. The north has brighter and showery conditions. Next week disturbances from the Atlantic bring the likelihood of more wet spells and there is the potential for further flooding....READ IN FULL
Saturday starts wet in much of southern England. Areas to the north are brighter but there are some showers around. Through the day intermittent outbreaks of rain continue in the south. Elsewhere there will be sunny spells with showers mainly in the west.
Temperatures range from 10C (50F) in Scotland to 15C (59F) in brighter parts of northern England. See the rain radar for the latest view.

Tonight heavy rain spreads northwards across much of England and Wales. Scotland and Northern Ireland have clear spells and scattered showers. It will be quite cold in the north.

Tomorrow persistent outbreaks of rain in England and Wales steadily clear eastwards. The brightest conditions will probably be in south western England and northern Scotland. It will be quite chilly.

During Monday a spell of wet weather affects much of the country. Brighter and showery conditions should return into western parts of the UK in the afternoon.
Further periods of wet and windy weather are expected in all areas through the rest of next week. The best chance of drier spells is in the south.
