Very wet outlook

The unsettled theme continues this weekend and flooding is likely to be an issue in places. At the moment it looks as though persistent outbreaks of rain could affect parts of the south on Saturday. Central and northern regions have a mix of sunny spells and showers. Heavy rain may spread across much of England and Wales during Sunday. It will be windy with a risk of gales at times.

Further spells of wet and windy weather are expected next week. The best chance of drier spells is in the south.
