Unsettled weather continues for the rest of the week with further wet periods in all regions. It will also be windy at times. There is the potential for very wet conditions in parts of the country this weekend and that could lead to further problems with flooding....READ IN FULL
Tuesday starts with showers in western parts of the UK. Central and eastern areas are mainly dry. Through the day showers become more widespread and heavy. However, in some parts of the east it probably remains dry and bright. It will be windy.
Temperatures range from 10C (50F) in Scotland to 16C (61F) in the south. See the rain radar for the latest view.

Tonight showers continue in the west. There could also be some rain in southern coastal counties. Elsewhere it will be mainly dry with clear spells.

UK winter 2019/20 Update 2 [NEW]
Tomorrow brings a mix of sunshine and showers. The heaviest showers will be in the north west and again it could stay dry in parts of the east. It remains windy and temperatures will be similar to today's.

Through Thursday outbreaks of rain spread across the north and west. Southern and eastern England could remain drier.
During Friday outbreaks of rain move southeastwards. They could become slow moving over central areas but there is uncertainty about their progression. The north has a mix of sunshine and showers.
The unsettled theme continues this weekend. Showers or longer spells of rain are expected and at times it will be windy.
