Unsettled weather continues this week with further wet periods in all regions. It will also be windy at times. Later on forecast uncertainty grows. In the south it could turn drier for a time but by the weekend there is a risk of further heavy rain....READ IN FULL
Monday starts wet in much of the north and west. Eastern England is mainly dry. This morning the rain becomes patchier but there will still be some heavy bursts mixed in. During the afternoon it pushes southeastwards and showery conditions follow from the north west. By the early evening the rain will be affecting much of southern and eastern England.
Temperatures range from 11C (52F) in the north to 16C (61F) in the south west. See the rain radar for the latest view.

Tonight the rain clears southeastwards and it turns drier in much of the country. In the west and north west showers continue and they become heavy at times.

Tomorrow brings a mix of sunshine and showers. The heaviest showers will be in the north west and at times they could merge to give longer periods of rain. It remains windy with gales in parts of the north.

The unsettled theme continues on Wednesday. Showers again become prolonged in the north and west. It stays windy, particularly in the north west.
Thursday may be drier and brighter in the south and east. In the north and west there is the likelihood of further showers or longer spells of rain.
Through the rest of the week some drier spells are expected, particularly in the south. However, all regions have further rain and by the weekend there is a chance of very wet weather in parts of the UK.
