The weekend is looking mixed in the north but the south has a lot of dry, sunny and warm weather. Next week high pressure keeps it settled in most of the UK. Some cool nights are likely but the days remain quite warm. Towards the end of the week it could turn more changeable in the north west....READ IN FULL
Friday starts with scattered showers in the north west. Elsewhere it is dry. Through the day showers continue in northern and western Scotland. The rest of the of the UK will be dry with sunny periods and variable amounts of cloud.
Temperatures range 12C (54F) in the north to 21C (70F) in the south. See the rain radar for the latest view.

This evening it becomes quite cold under clear skies. Later in the night cloud builds in the north and in the far north west outbreaks of rain return by the morning.

Tomorrow will be fine and warm in southern and central regions. The north has a cloudier and windier day. In northern and western Scotland outbreaks of rain become more widespread and winds strengthen to gale force. The rain may edge into Northern Ireland at times.

Sunday is looking warm and sunny in southern areas. Temperatures may reach 25C (77F). Across the northern half of the UK it will be more mixed and outbreaks of rain push southwards. In Scotland drier and brighter conditions return.
Patchy spells of rain affect southern counties on Monday but they gradually fade away. Elsewhere there will be a good deal of dry weather but in the far north outbreaks of rain are likely.
During the rest of the week high pressure keeps things mainly dry and settled in much of the country. Days should be pleasantly warm but some chilly nights are probable. Later on the chance of it turning more unsettled in the north west increases.
