Bank Holiday Monday

The fine conditions continue for most on Bank Holiday Monday, although outbreaks of rain may push into the far north west. In other areas it will be mostly dry and sunny. Temperatures in central and south eastern England exceed 30C (86F). The north and west will be cooler.

It's a similar picture on Tuesday. Much of the country has another fine day and it remains hot in central and eastern England. Outbreaks of rain probably become more widespread in the north west.

During Wednesday and Thursday the heat is pushed back into the continent with cooler Atlantic air returning. Changeable conditions develop in the north but high pressure should keep it mainly dry in the south.

Through the rest of the week a cooler pattern becomes established. Showery rain is possible in all regions but the south has a good deal of dry weather.
