Improvement next week

The weekend looks rather cool and showery. The most frequent showers are likely to be in the north and west on Saturday with southern and eastern counties having a good deal of dry weather. On Sunday the showers may become more widespread. Temperatures remain on the low side.

Next week starts changeable but high pressure probably builds northeastwards across the UK. Initially southern and central counties can expect drier and warmer periods but in the north it remains more mixed. Later on the more settled conditions could extend northwards across all regions.
