By Monday some showery rain remains in the north but southern and central regions have a fine start. Warm spells of sunshine are likely but during the afternoon wet weather returns to the south west of England and Wales.
Through Tuesday outbreaks of rain spread steadily northeastwards over much of the UK. Scotland and north eastern England could be dry for much of the day.
The changeable weather is expected to continue through the second half of the week. All regions could see showers but there should be some warm sunny spells too, especially in the south. Hot conditions are not expected to return.
