Changeable weather continues for the next few days. Heavy showers develop today and much of the UK has rain tomorrow. Through Thursday and Friday it starts turning warmer and drier in the south. Fine conditions should spread northwards this weekend and the highest temperatures of the year so far could be recorded....READ IN FULL
Tuesday is off to a mixed start and there are already showers in places. Through the day showers become focused on central and eastern Britain. At times they will be heavy and possibly thundery. Sunny spells are likely too with the best of them in the west.
Temperatures range from 10C (50F) in the far north to 18C (64F) in the London area. See the rain radar for the latest view.

Tonight showers slowly fade away and it becomes drier. Late in the night persistent spells of rain spread into south western England, Wales and possibly Northern Ireland.

Summer 2019 weather [NEW]
Tomorrow outbreaks of rain spread northeastwards. They will be heavy at times, particularly over the southern half of Britain and in Northern Ireland. Ahead of the rain in the east there could be some sunny spells for a while. Northern Scotland may remain brighter.

On Thursday heavy showers bubble up in central and northern areas. The south should be mainly fine and temperatures possibly climb to 21C (70F).
Friday brings further outbreaks of rain to the north and in the north west they could be heavy. Much of England should be dry. In the south and east it becomes warm in sunny spells.
Fine conditions should spread northwards this weekend. On Saturday showers continue in the north but they become more scattered. In the south a dry and warm day is probable. Sunday looks even warmer and there is a chance of temperatures pushing up into the upper 20Cs.
Cooler and showery weather is expected to return quickly next week.
