Bank Holiday weekend

Saturday is looking mainly fine across England and Wales. In Scotland, and possibly Northern Ireland, outbreaks of rain steadily push southeastwards. At times they could be heavy.

During Sunday showery outbreaks of rain continue to move southeastwards. There is uncertainty about their rate of progression and they probably become patchier. Southern and central areas could hang on to a lot of dry weather.

Bank Holiday Monday is expected to be cool and showery in all regions. At times showers could merge to give longer spells of rain. It is also likely to be quite windy.

Next week the cool and changeable theme continues.
