Tomorrow most of the UK will be dry with western counties having the best of the sunshine. Generally there will be more cloud than today and it could lead to a few light showers. Temperatures stay on the low side for the time of the year.

Dry and cold weekend

During the weekend high pressure remains centred over Scandinavia. It blocks the progression of disturbances moving in from the Atlantic so the settled spell goes on. In eastern England there is the risk of scattered wintry showers but many places miss them. There will be nighttime frosts, however in the afternoon sunshine it should feel pleasant despite the chilly conditions.

Next week pressure gradually begins to fall from the south. After a dry start the likelihood of showers or longer spells of rain increases, particularly in the south and west. Temperatures also trend upwards and by the Easter period it could be warm.
