High pressure keeps the weather dry in southern and central regions today and tomorrow, but in the north it remains more changeable. Temperatures will be well above the March average initially but this weekend cooler air filters southwards. Next week the settled spell continues....READ IN FULL
Thursday starts with outbreaks of rain in the north west of the UK. Elsewhere it is dry with variable amounts of cloud. Through the day patchy rain affects Northern Ireland and Scotland. Elsewhere it stays dry with variable amounts of cloud and sunny spells.
Temperatures range from 10C (50F) in the north west to a warm 18C (64F) in the east. See the rain and precipitation type radar for the latest view.

Tonight wet and windy weather continues in northern and western Scotland. In other western counties thicker cloud could bring drizzle, but central and eastern Britain remain dry.

Tomorrow should be quite warm and bright in southern and central regions. In the north wet and windy weather gradually spreads southwards. By the late afternoon it probably reaches Wales and northern England. Colder and showery conditions follow into Scotland.

During Saturday patchy outbreaks of rain associated with a weakening weather front push southwards. The rain won't amount to much in the south. In central and northern areas it turns cooler.
Sunday is looking dry and bright in southern and central regions. Temperatures in the south will be lower than in recent days. Wet and windy conditions may return to the north.
Next week high pressure keeps the weather settled. It could be quite chilly in the north and east early on but temperatures should rise again.
