Buzz
Tomorrow the wet weather reaches northern England, and possibly western Scotland and Northern Ireland. There probably will snow even at low level and substantial accumulations are expected over high ground. Brighter and showery conditions follow in from the southwest and they reach much of the country during the afternoon.
In the southern half of the UK there is the potential for it to become very windy. Some computer models continue to show wind gusts in the south west exceeding 70mph. Forecast details are uncertain due to lack of cross model agreement on the development and track of low pressure.
Meteo France Arpege, rain, 12:00 GMT Sun 10th March
Monday starts with quite a widespread frost. There will be showers in the morning but they become increasingly scattered as a ridge of high pressure builds in from the Atlantic. After the cold start temperatures struggle.
On Tuesday a band of rain clears southeastwards. It is followed by a mix of sunny spells and wintry showers. It will be windy and in the north west gales are likely.
During the second half of the week it remains unsettled in the north. The south probably becomes drier as high pressure begins to exert more influence. Temperatures in the south won't be far off the seasonal average but it could be chilly in the north.
