GFS, temperatures, 15:00 GMT Sat 12th January
On Sunday patchy outbreaks of rain clear southwards. In the north it turns brighter, colder and showery. The showers could become prolonged and over high ground they increasingly fall as snow. It will be windy, especially in the north where gales are expected.
Next week a more changeable spell develops. All regions see some rain, although the south probably continues to have a fair amount of dry weather. After a mild start temperatures trend downwards and later on the risk of snow in the north increases as the chance of colder incursions increases.
