GFS, forecast temperatures, 15:00 GMT Fri 16th November
The weekend brings a good deal of fine weather but high pressure will be building northwards into Scandinavia. That leads to cooler air beginning to filter in from the continent and by Sunday temperatures it will feel chillier with temperatures struggling to reach double figures .
Through the first half of next week it turns colder as an easterly wind becomes established. Showers push into eastern counties and by the middle of the week they could become quite heavy and wintry. here is a risk of them falling as sleet or snow, especially over high ground.
The second half of the week may see low pressure deepening to the south of the UK. That would lead to a risk of more prolonged outbreaks of rain and possibly snow, if there is enough cold air in the mix.
