The next few days bring a lot of settled weather but in the far north it remains changeable. Cooler air pushes southwards during the next 24 hours but temperatures quickly recover again. By Friday a major changes is expected as Arctic air begins to move southwards across the UK....READ IN FULL
Sunday begins wet in Scotland and Northern Ireland. Elsewhere it is dry but there is some patchy fog in the south. Through the rest of the day sunny spells develop widely in the south. The rain band in the north west pushes steadily southeastwards into northern England and central regions, but it becomes increasingly patchy. Cooler and showery conditions follow behind it.

Tonight the remnants of the rain move away southwards. Clearer conditions follow and quite a widespread ground frost develops. In the far north cloud and rain return by the the morning.
Tomorrow rain and strong winds affect the far north. Elsewhere it stays fine. It will be cooler than recently, particularly in southern and central regions.

Tuesday should be dry and bright in much of the country. It will be windy in the north and outbreaks of rain affect western and northern Scotland. Temperatures recover and in bright spells it should feel quite warm during the afternoon.
Little changes on Tuesday and Wednesday as high pressure remains centred just to the west of the UK. Through Thursday and Friday the high pressure areas moves farther west in the Atlantic and that open the gates to a plunge of cold Arctic air.
The details are uncertain but at this stage it looks as though rain will be clearing southern counties on Friday with much colder conditions following it. Showers develop in the northern half of the UK and they could turn wintry even at low levels. Some places may see their first snow of the season. The weekend looks set to be cold and showery but a ridge of high pressure possibly pushes in from the west on Sunday.

During the next couple of weeks we'll be working hard to migrate our website and services to cloud based servers. Very appropriately for a weather based business you may say! The transition means big changes behind the scenes and they could could lead to some service disruption and snagging problems.
