Tonight outbreaks of rain push extend over more of western Britain but fresher and drier conditions return to Northern Ireland and western Scotland. Central and eastern Britain remain and muggy.
Tomorrow will be very warm and sunny in central and eastern England. Outbreaks of rain in the north west steadily push southeastwards through the day and fragment, although locally they could be heavy. There is also a risk of isolated thunderstorms forming ahead of them. Clearer and fresher conditions follow into the west.

During Tuesday and Wednesday scattered showers develop but there should be plenty of fine weather. It will be cooler than recently but in the south temperatures are expected to remain in the mid 20Cs.
The risk of heavy and thundery showers increases on Thursday and Friday. Nonetheless recent computer model runs have tipped the balance back towards slightly more settled conditions as a ridge of high pressure builds over the UK. Therefore much of the country could have a good deal of warm sunshine.
The picture for the weekend and beyond is uncertain. Further heavy showers are possible but there may well continue to be quite a lot of dry and very warm weather too.
