Mid week and beyond

During the rest of the week high pressure remains the dominant feature of the weather but subtle changes take place. It looks as though cooler Atlanitc air will filter into northern areas and that brings the risk of showery rain by the weekend. Thundery showers possibly bubble up in the south too, however it is expected to remain mostly dry and very warm.

The first week of July has the potential to be more mixed. On the whole it looks as though there will be a lot of warm and dry weather as ridges of high pressure build across the UK.
