Saturday starts dry in the south and north but a band of thicker cloud stretching from Wales to North Yorkshire is producing some drizzle. Through the day sunny spells develop, but near the east coast it remains overcast. In the north west, Wales and the south west thundery showers develop. They will be hit and miss, but some could be heavy and give localised cloudbursts.
Temperatures range from 15C (59F) in the north east to a warm 25C (77F) in the south. See the rain radar for the latest view.

Summer forecast overview
Tonight the showers become more scattered and slowly fade away, although in Scotland a few may continue. It will be quite muggy and humid, especially in the south.
Tomorrow a repeat performance is expected. Most places have warm sunny spells but thundery showers break out in the north and west. Temperatures may touch 26C (78F) in the south.
Monday brings a good deal of dry weather, but there will be scattered showers in the north and west. In the south east there is a chance of thundery outbreaks of rain pushing up from the near continent late in the day. Maximum temperatures are expected to be a few degrees lower than recently.
On Tuesday showers continue in the north and west. In southern counties there is a possibility of cloudier skies and outbreaks of rain. In overcast areas it may be quite cool, but in the west sunny spells keep it pleasantly warm.
A ridge of high pressure keeps it mostly fine and dry across southern and eastern areas on Wednesday. However there is a growing risk of wet rain in the north west.

Through the rest of the week it looks as though a westerly flow will return to the northern half of the UK and lead to showers or longer spells of rain at times. In southern and central regions there could be a good deal of dry and quite warm weather as high pressure builds from the Azores.
