Sunday begins with thundery downpours in Wales and south western England. Across the southern half of the UK sunny spells develop this morning but heavy showers continue in the west. This afternoon the thunderstorms could pep up again in the south east as well, but some places are likely to miss them. The north stays fine throughout with sunny spells but near the east coast it could be cloudier at times.
Temperatures range from 18C (64F) near the east coast to to humid 27C (81F) in the south east. See the rain radar for the latest view.

Tonight thundery downpours gradually fade away but a few may remain in central regions. The north has a dry night with clear periods.
Tomorrow sunny spells develop widely and in the south storms are expected to be more scattered than recently. Central and northern counties have another fine day. It will be very warm and in the south temperatures may reach 28C (82F).
Meteo France Arpege, forecast rainfall, 16:00 BST Mon 28th May
Warm weather continues in much of the country on Tuesday and Wednesday but the risk of thundery showers persists in the south. At times there could be more cloud cover and near the east coast it will stay cooler.
Changes through the second half of the week are expected to be slow. There should be plenty of fine weather but the risk of heavy showers probably continues in the south. Later on cooler air may push down from the north into Scotland.
