The next few days will be fine in much of the UK but nights remain chilly. Early next it warms up further and the risk of thunderstorms in southern and central regions increases.

Friday starts clear but cold and in rural areas there has been a ground frost overnight. The rest of the day brings sunny spells to most of the country but there may be more cloud than yesterday, especially in the west. In the north west of the UK a mostly overcast day with patchy outbreaks of rain is in prospect.
Temperatures this afternoon range from 14C (54F) in the north west to east to 19C (66F) in central and southern areas. See the rain radar for the latest view.

Tonight under clear skies it becomes chilly again and in hollows a touch of ground frost is possible. In the far north west the risk of light rain remains.
Tomorrow sees the royal wedding at Windsor and the FA Cup final at Wembley. There will be a lot of fine weather, however in Northern Ireland and western Scotland thicker cloud may bring drizzle or light rain. Temperatures reach or exceed 21C (70F) widely, so it is looking good for barbecues and street parties.

Sunday is set to be dry and sunny in much of England and Wales, and if anything it should be warmer than Saturday. However outbreaks of rain affect Northern Ireland, Scotland and possibly some of northern England.
Early next week it continues to warm up and 27C (81F) may be reached in the south. At the same time the risk of thunderstorms increases in southern and central counties as low pressure areas over France and Spain edge northwards. In the north west of the UK disturbances from the Atlantic may keep it mostly changeable.

The second half of the week should bring more warm sunshine to much of the UK. The risk of showers in the south probably decreases towards the weekend as high pressure becomes reestablished.
