Change takes place this weekend

Tomorrow brings more sunshine but heavy showers move up from the south into western England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Elsewhere it stays fine and warm but temperatures are likely to be slightly lower than recently.

During the evening and overnight thundery showers spread eastwards across much of the country. If you are planning to have a barbecue keep and eye on the rain radar.

More typical weather next week

Cooler and changeable weather spreads eastwards across all of the UK early next week. There will be drier and brighter interludes with the best of them in the south, but all regions can expect showers or longer spells of rain too.
