Temperatures range from 3C (37F) in Scotland to 12C (54F) in southern counties. In the south that's not far from the seasonal average but it is about 14C warmer than this time last week! See the rainfall and precipitation type radar for the latest view.
Tonight the wet weather gradually clears from Scotland. In western areas showers are likely and an area of rain could affect the south eastern corner.
Tomorrow the mixed weather continues. Showers pop up in much of the country and over high ground in the north there remains a risk of snow. In the south east and East Anglia a more persistent period of rain is expected early in the day.
The showery theme persists on Thursday. In the north it will be quite chilly but temperatures in the south won't be far off the norm.
Friday brings more showers to the north. Elsewhere it starts dry and bright but during the second half of the day outbreaks of rain spread into southern counties and winds strengthen.
Overnight and through Saturday rain spreads northwards and becomes heavy. Over the Scottish mountains further snow is possible. Through the afternoon dry and mild conditions could push in southern and central counties.
The unsettled theme continues on Sunday as areas of low pressure swirl around the UK. The details are uncertain but spells of wet weather are probable.
