Wrap up for the fireworks

[Updated 06:40 03/11/2017]

Fireworks

The weekend brings mixed weather but early rain should clear to leave dry and chilly conditions for fireworks parties on both days. Next week it remains changeable and chilly.

Friday starts dry but there is mist in places. This morning sunny spells develop but cloud builds in from the west. Through the afternoon patchy outbreaks of rain spread into western parts of the UK and in the north west they become heavy. Elsewhere it will be increasingly overcast.

Temperatures range from 10C (50F) in the north to 14C (57F) in the south. See the rainfall radar for the latest view.

Tonight heavy rain spreads eastwards across England and Wales with clearer conditions following into the west. Scotland and Northern Ireland have showers.

Tomorrow begins wet in central and eastern England but by early afternoon the rain should be clearing from Kent and Essex. Elsewhere it will be bright but showers affect the north and west and over high ground in Scotland they fall as snow. It will be cold and a frost is likely overnight.

Sunday starts with showers in coastal counties but they become lighter and more isolated as the day progresses. Inland areas have a sunny and cold day. Frost returns overnight.

Monday looks dry in the east but wet weather pushes into the west. On Tuesday the rain clears southeastwards and is followed by cool and showery conditions.
