The next few days bring changeable weather to the north but southern areas stay mostly dry. From next weekend the risk of rain increases in the south.
Sunday starts damp to the south of London but elsewhere it is bright. Through the rest of the day sunny spells develop but there will be scattered showers in the north and perhaps near the east coast. Over the Scottish mountains some of the showers fall as snow. Strong winds gradually ease from the west but it remains blustery in eastern areas.
Temperatures range from a cold 5C (41F) in northern Scotland to to 14C (57F) in the south west of England. See the rainfall radar for the latest view.
This evening clear period lead to temperatures falling quickly and many places are expected to record their first frost of the season. In the west cloud builds by the morning.
Tomorrow begins cold and frosty in much of the country. During the day outbreaks of rain spread across the north west of the UK but southern and central regions remain dry.
Northern areas have more wet weather on Tuesday and Wednesday. High pressure keeps it dry in the south and the nights are likely to be chilly.
