The next few days bring unseasonable warm to the south and east warm but it remains more changeable in the north west. Early next week the remnants of Hurricane Ophelia are expected to bring stormy conditions to the west and cooler air gradually returns southeastwards.
Friday starts wet in northern and western Britain. Through the day clearer conditions return to much of Scotland and Northern Ireland but outbreaks of rain continue across north western England and Wales. Areas to the south and east stay dry and bright.
Temperatures range from 10C (50F) in the north to 21C (70F) in eastern England. See the rainfall radar for the latest view.
Tonight Wales and northern England have further spells of rain. Elsewhere it will be mostly dry.
Tomorrow much of the UK has a fine and warm day but the north west will be cooler with outbreaks of rain. A similar picture is expected on Sunday.
On Monday the remnants of Hurricane Ophelia push northwards with the centre of the system probably tracking just to the west of the UK. Forecast details remain uncertain but there is a risk of stormy conditions in the west where wind gusts could exceed 70mph. The east probably remains dry and very warm.
