All regions will have some rain in the coming days but high pressure should bring a reasonable amount of dry weather. The monthly forecast favours a predominantly unsettled longer term outlook.
Tuesday starts with showers in the north and through the day a few continue. Elsewhere it remains dry. Sunny spells develop this morning but during the afternoon thicker cloud spreads in from the west. It will be quite windy, especially in the north.
Temperatures range from 10C (59F) in the north to 17C (63F) in the south. See the rainfall radar for the latest view.
Tonight outbreaks of rain spread into Scotland and Northern Ireland. England and Wales stay dry.
Tomorrow showery spells of rain affect the northern half of the UK and at times they become heavy. The south should remain dry but cloudy. It will windy with gales in the north. Overnight the wet weather pushes into central and southern counties.
During Thursday brighter skies return to all areas but it will be quite chilly. Showers are likely in the north and over the highest Scottish mountains there could be a few flakes of snow. Friday should be fine but a cold start is expected with a ground frost in places.
