A mixed week is expected with most of the rain in the west. High pressure centred over the continent and weather systems pushing in from the Atlantic are likely to bump into each other close to the UK.
Sunday begins wet in the west but the east is dry and bright. Through the course of the day rain continues in the west. Eastern regions remain dry and there will be sunny spells this morning but cloud builds from the west in the afternoon.
Temperatures range from 12C (54F) in the north west to a warmish 21C (70F) in central and south eastern England. See the the rainfall radar for the latest view.
Tonight wet weather slowly pushes into northern and central areas. East Anglia and the south east should remain dry and clearer conditions return to the south west.
Tomorrow outbreaks of continue in much of the UK, but they become increasingly fragmented and brighter conditions gradually return from the west. East Anglia and areas to the south east of London may stay dry.
Tuesday is looking fine but on Wednesday wet and windy weather spreads into western and possibly central regions.
