Northern and western areas have changeable weather in the coming days. The south and east should often be fine as high pressure gradually becomes more dominant.
Wednesday begins wet in Northern Ireland and western Scotland but elsewhere it is dry. Through the day rain spreads into much of western Britain, and some heavy bursts are likely. Central and eastern areas stay dry, but cloud amounts increase from the west this afternoon.
Temperatures range from 11C (52F) in the north west to 18C (64F) in the south. See the the rainfall radar for the latest view.
Tonight the rain slowly pushes eastwards with clearer conditions following from the west. The south eastern corner may remain dry until the late in the evening.
Friday is expected to be dry and bright in the east. In the west and north outbreaks of rain return.
The weekend is looking mixed. The south and east should be fine on Saturday, and temperatures could edge above 21C (70F). Elsewhere it will be more changeable and on Sunday some rain could push southeastwards.
