Heavy showers continue today but they become more scattered tomorrow. Next week a good deal of dry weather is expected in the south but in the north and west it probably remains more changeable.
Saturday starts showery across England and Wales, and in western Scotland there are more persistent outbreaks of rain. During the day the rain in Scotland becomes more showery and some brighter intervals develop. Elsewhere there will be sunny spells but showers become heavy and thundery at times.
It will be a cool day with temperatures ranging from 10C (50F) in northern Scotland to 16C (61F) in the sunshine further south. See the the rainfall radar for the latest view.
Tonight the showers retreat back to southern coastal counties. Under clearing skies it becomes cold, with a ground frost possible in parts of the north and west.
Tomorrow showers break out in central and eastern England. Other regions have a mostly dry and bright day with temperatures a little up on today's values.
