Heavy showers continue today and tomorrow but by Sunday dry periods become more widespread. Next week starts mostly dry but wet weather is likely to return from the west by Wednesday.
Friday begins with showery rain in northern England, the south west and Wales.That pushes southwards this morning and showers break out elsewhere. The rest of the day brings some sunny spells but showers continue, and at times they will be heavy and thundery.
Temperatures range from 10C (50F) in northern Scotland to 17C (63F) in southern England. See the the rainfall radar for the latest view.
Tonight the showers retreat back to coastal counties. Clear periods develop inland and it will be quite cold.
Tomorrow it's a similar picture with showers becoming prolonged and heavy at times. By Sunday the showers should be mostly confined to the south with other areas having a mostly dry with sunny spells.
