Unsettled weather continues for much of the week. Severe gales on Tuesday night could lead to travel disruption in parts of England and Wales.
Monday starts showery and it is very windy in the south west. Through the day heavy showers continue, and at times they bring hail and thunder. There will be sunny spells too but it remains windy.
Temperatures range from 11C (52F) in the north to 18C (64F) in the south. See the rainfall radar for the latest view.
Tonight most of the showers fade away but a few continue in the north and west. It will be quite chilly.
Tomorrow morning isolated showers are likely. In the afternoon outbreaks of rain spread eastwards and in the west they become heavy. Overnight the rain continues in the north but elsewhere clearer and showery conditions return. It is expected to become very windy with the possibility of gusts reaching between 60mph and 70mph in parts of England and Wales.
On Wednesday there will be a mix of sunshine and showers. It remains quite cool.
The second half of the week stays changeable but high pressure gradually builds in from the west. That leads to an increasing chance of drier spells in the south and west.
