The outlook remains unsettled. During the next week all regions have showers or longer spells of rain and at times it will be quite stormy.
Thursday starts wet in Scotland and Northern Ireland. Through the day outbreaks of rain spread eastwards across the northern half of the UK. There could be some patchy rain in Wales too. England remains dry but cloud builds after a bright start.
Temperatures range from 12C (54F) in the north west to 20C (68F) in the south. Check the rainfall radar for the latest view.
Tonight another band of rain pushes down from the northwest and reaches southern counties by the morning. It will be very windy in the south and west.
Tomorrow wet weather gradually clears away from the south to leave a mix of sunshine and showers in all regions. It remains blustery.
Saturday starts mostly dry and chilly but heavy showers develop. It will be cool and in the south west gales are possible. Overnight and through Sunday wet and windy weather spreads southeastwards. Clearer conditions follow but there will be more showers.
