The southern half of the UK remains fine and warm through the rest of the Bank Holiday period. In the north it will be more mixed and the longer term outlook for all regions is changeable.
Sunday begins bright across the south but the north is cloudier. Through the day southern and central regions remain dry with sunny spells. In the north thicker cloud brings some showery rain.
Temperatures this afternoon range from 17C (63F) in the north to 27C (81F) in the south. See the rainfall radar for the latest view.
Tonight more persistent outbreaks of rain push eastwards across northern Scotland. Elsewhere it remains dry.
During Bank Holiday Monday outbreaks of rain spreads southeastwards across Scotland and Northern Ireland, but they become lighter and patchier. Much of England and Wales hangs on to sunny weather. In the south a hot 29C (85F) could be reached.
On Tuesday the rain sinks southeastwards and fades away. Southern areas should remain dry. It stays very warm in the south east but cooler air will return elsewhere.
