The outlook remains changeable. The north has wet weather at times but southern and central regions should often be fine.
Thursday begins dry across much of the UK but in the north west there are scattered showers. Through the day England and Wales remain dry with sunny spells. Scotland and Northern Ireland have further showers which could be heavy at times.
Temperatures this afternoon range from 15C (59F) in the north to 22C (72F) in the south east. See the rainfall radar for the latest view.
Tonight showers continue in the north west. Elsewhere it will be dry with clear periods.
Tomorrow wet weather continues in the north west. Other areas remain mostly dry with sunny spells.
The Bank Holiday weekend is set to bring a mixed bag of weather. On Saturday the southern half of the UK should be mainly dry with warm sunny spells but the north has showers. During Sunday more persistent outbreaks of rain push into the north while the south remains dry and bright. Monday could see a continuation of the fine and warm conditions in the south but wet weather is expected to spread across northern and possibly central regions.
