Heavy rain is expected in much of England and Wales during the next few days. Later this week it remains quite changeable but high pressure should bring drier periods, at least to the south.
Monday starts dull across the southern half of the UK with patchy outbreaks of rain. The north is brighter but there some showers around and they continue through the day. Elsewhere it remains overcast and during the afternoon outbreaks of heavier rain are likely to push eastwards this afternoon.
Temperatures range from 12C (54F) in the north west to 21C (70F) in the south east and East Anglia. See the rainfall radar for the latest view.
Tonight it remains wet in southern and central regions. The north has a mostly dry night with clear periods.
Tomorrow heavy and thundery outbreaks of rain affect much of England and Wales. The north west of the UK remains brighter and showery.
Wednesday should be dry and bright in the north and west. In central and eastern England there is an ongoing risk of very heavy rain. It is also expected to become windy with gales possible near the east coast. By Thursday drier and brighter weather returns.
