Changeable weather continues during the week ahead. Some warmer and drier days are likely but all regions have rain at times.
Sunday begins with showery rain in parts of England and Wales, as well as eastern Scotland. Through the day showers become widespread across the southern half of the UK, and in the north east persistent outbreaks of rain return. There will be some sunny spells too, with the best of them probably in Northern Ireland, western Scotland and sheltered parts of the south.
Maximum temperatures will be close to 21C (70F) in the far north west but generally values stick around around 18C (64F). See the rainfall radar for the latest view.
Tonight heavy rain pushes southwards across central and eastern areas, and drier conditions return to the north. The west could have a few scattered showers but it should be mostly dry.
Tomorrow the rain gradually eases in the east. The west has a brighter and warmer day.
Tuesday looks fine for most, but late on wet weather returns to parts of the west. Through Wednesday persistent outbreaks of rain are expected to push eastwards across all regions.
