The Climate Forecast System or Coupled Forecast System (both names abbreviated CFS) is a medium to long range numerical weather prediction and a climate model run by NCEP.
The CFS produces forecast data for much further ahead than other computer models on TWO. Its accuracy varies by season, forecast lead time and geographical areas. Seasonal forecasts are considered particularly difficult for the UK.
