I'll kick this off today...

Despite the MetO written forecast saying a low of 17C across the SE last night, it's (thankfully) a fair bit cooler than that. And nope, there was no rain here either - it just missed to the north, annoyingly.

Clear, calm. 14.1C, dew 11.6C. The overnight low so far is also 14.1C.

A warm night that only dropped to 18.6c. We do have a cool breeze from the ENE. Sky clear but some CS in places.

Looks like I lucked out overnight - in the surrounding few several miles, I have the lowest temperature by far.

In the end 13.7C was the low. It's increasing now but it has some way to go to catch the neighbouring stations.

Thanks to that cooler air, incidentally, I've got it down to 18C indoors... the fan's been blasting from the patio for the past couple of hours.

Here in Edinburgh, there is still some cloud around but today has started off on a much brighter note than yesterday with decent spells of very hazy sunshine.

Last night was warm, but not excessively so.

However, I am now getting ready to travel to that melting pot which is going to be the Scottish Borders over the next couple of days, although I will be down there for a week and it is thankfully, forecast to cool down by the middle of the week, although I'm not looking forward to the next couple of days.

Meanwhile, the temperature here in Edinburgh as at 6am BST (05:00 UTC) this morning was around 15°C.

The north of Edinburgh, usually always missing out on snow events which occur not just within the rest of Scotland or the UK, but also within the rest of Edinburgh.

That didn't last long!

23C now, an incredible rise of 6C an hour. I'm now matching the other local stations (23 and 24 respectively).

Supposed to be a sunny day but it's yet another stinking cloud infested horror of a day with an Aberdeen shaped cloud formed right over us yet again. It's gone completely overcast.

Absolutely godawful July. I'm at the end of my tether  being subjected to this dross every day while the rest of the country has sunshine and proper summer weather
