Temperature outside has finally dipped below 20C - only just mind.

But on a better note there is a nice N/NW breeze blowing now and it's helping to drop the temperature in my north facing room to something more comfortable for sleep.

Nothing happening here in Edinburgh in terms of any actual weather, as per usual.

Last night's overnight minimum temperature at Edinburgh Gogarbank was 11.0°C.

Meanwhile, the temperature at 7am BST (07:00 UTC) this morning was around 13°C here in Edinburgh.

Sunny spells and variable cloud, 19.0c following a dawn low of 17.4c.

Clear. 18.0c. 1024 hPa NNW Breeze 11mph.

Cloudy, drizzle, 16C. Looks a million miles away from any kind of heatwave at the moment

So slightly cooler than this time yesterday.
Breezier too.

Whereas here at my end of Folkestone it is actually being a fresh feeling 19.9 C (80% H). I tried to sit outside for a bit but felt relatively chilly whenever the sun was hidden by fairweather cumulus (and there are a fair amount of them).  Did manage a peak of 26.1 C at 2 pm but as you can see it has cooled down quite a bit since then.

Another dreadful day from this poor July. Cloudy with very little sun, a few pitiful drizzly showers amounting to 0.8mm and cool at only 14.3C

An incredulous 15.9c on the south coast.
Probably the lowest temp recording for quite a few days. Day or night.

An hour ago it was still 21C here however just 10 miles inland the car thermometer was showing it to be a cooler 18C.
