Last night was unseasonably cold, but without any ground frost this time.

That then led us into a bright and sunny start to this morning.

However, it then didn't take long for that sunshine to disappear and it has now completely clouded over here in Edinburgh.

Last night's overnight minimum temperature at Edinburgh Gogarbank was 4.7°C.

Meanwhile, the temperature at 8am BST (07:00 UTC) this morning was around 11°C here in Edinburgh.

The north of Edinburgh, usually always missing out on snow events which occur not just within the rest of Scotland or the UK, but also within the rest of Edinburgh.

Has been quite overcast for most of the time, although there is an increase in light levels right now.

A rather below par 16.3 C but it's the 90% H & light winds that are making it feel clammy and humid.

It's like being inside a giant Tupperware box.

This is more like it with the sun making an appearance, despite still a fair amount of mid-level cloud. Still a rather below par 17.2 C and there is now a mod onshore-type SW breeze.

Long sunny spells since about 4pm and it reached 15.6C - which would be quite good for April
