The mist and fog from yesterday has now cleared away, but we still have yet another overcast start to yet another day as we have now entered into day three of our latest permacast hell here in Edinburgh.

Furthermore, that is likely (if the latest forecasts are correct) to continue during today and tomorrow as well with more rain being forecast to move in from the west on both days.

For now, it is dry here in Edinburgh although everything is still fairly damp.

Last night was very mild though with a return to double figures minumum temperatures across all of my three local stations, and I have seen cooler nights than that even in the middle of summer.

Last night's overnight minimum temperature was 10.5ºC at Edinburgh Gogarbank and 11.3ºC at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.

Meanwhile, the temperature at 8am was around 12ºC here in Edinburgh.

A rather m'eh start to the new "working" week with overcast skies and also slightly moist. 14.0 C & 92% H under a mod S breeze.

Yesterday's max and min temps were flatter than a fat person's flip flop with 15 C and 14 C respectively.

The earlier rain clread away quite quickly from here to such an extent that a total of just 1.2 mm of rain came out of that at Edinburgh Gogarbank along with 2.8 mm of rain at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.

After that, it remained mostly cloudy with only the odd glimpse of the Sun but although a total of just 24 minutes of sunshine was recorded for the whole of today in the end at Edinburgh Gogarbank, even that is more than what we got at any point in time over the weekend.

Furthermore, we are back to being far too warm for this time of the year once again.

Today's maximum temperature was 17.0ºC at Edinburgh Gogarbank and 16.1ºC at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.

Even at 10pm tonight, it is still a ridiculously warm 16ºC here in Edinburgh.
