We've just had quite a heavy snow shower here which has left a covering over the lawn and on top of our box hedge.
The upper band of the same cluster passed us at the thinnest point, disappointingly, and we had snow pellets - dusting grass and garage roof in their white pellets, and just the odd flake of snow at the end. Was your shower proper snow throughout?
Glad to hear you still have a box hedge: I just spent a week digging up mine - which has box blight, and replanting with Ilex crenata - which I am hoping will perform the same job, but the stock I bought seems a bit straggly to me as potted; I’ll let you know if it works. Hope you stay blight free though.
This is now my fifth snow giving cold snap this winter: for many years I don't see a flake all winter - so this has been a cracker, all things considering. No real sign of proper warmth right up to the 27th on the models...
