The west wind has increased as a system moved down the North Sea last night. We are at +1 C this morning but the 5cm of snow and ice remains frozen hard

Strange one for this location, the small trough coming down from the north last night started with some nice fluffy snow, then the temp increased to 2 deg , with rain showers. 😳, still at 2.2C this morning, all in a v cold airmass?

Managed to reach -10C on the snow surface this morning and really lovely to see -10C again after not seeing it for a long time.  Very beautiful out there now with blue Alpine weather type and very cold.  8cm of snow was the results.

Same here Tim, I think the ground is so cold it's holding the frost and ice from below


We are 1.8 now with a moderate west wind but the 5cm of snow on my car is still frozen hard.
